Job Title: Agile Delivery Manager - Software Development - Hybrid / Cardiff Location: Cardiff Bay office once a week Salary/Rate: Up to £530 a day Inside IR35 Start Date: February / March Job Type: 6 Month Contract (with scope to extend) Company Introduction We are looking for an Agile Delivery Manager to join our client in the Risk Management sector. You will be required to work on-site with the rest of the team in Cardiff Bay once a week. Once a quarter the team usually goes in twice a week for planning meetings. The manager would like someone who's flexible to go in on an ad-hoc basis if required. Required Skills/Experience Strong software delivery experience is a MUST for this role You need to be able to hit the ground running. Strong experience in Scrum and previous experience working as a Scrum master would be very beneficial. Project reporting is a very important responsibility within this role. You MUST be able to report on "what's going on", "why it's going on" and "the project risks involved". Good Jira experience is very important. Previous experience extracting information from Jira & building project reports in Jira is a must. Full SDLC experience is as must, managing web based application projects Job Responsibilities/Objectives Support 2-3 cross-functional agile product development teams as they efficiently deliver features and exciting capabilities (teams are usually between 4 - 8 members, depending on the deliverables) Work closely with the Software Development Lead and Product Owner to ensure that the teams remain closely synchronised and upcoming features are well planned You will be supporting 1 software development team & 1 product team. Working closely both on a daily basis. Ensure project resources and budgets are tracked and kept up to date. Develop and distribute timely status reporting with key metrics to appropriate stakeholders. Identify project risks & issues escalating where appropriate in a timely manner; ensure impacts are communicated so all parties are aligned; partner with project stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate project impacts Make recommendations for improvements to existing processes and procedures Ensure timely use of project and technology tools to help drive accountability.
