We have an exciting opportunity for you based primarily at Epsom Hospital, part of Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust and group gesh formed by St George's, Epsom and St Helier hospitals. We are looking for a registered Dermatology nurse to cover the inflammatory service; you would be running independent nurse clinics for our isotretinoin, systemic and biologics patients. Through your expert knowledge of the field you will play a key role in ensuring that the dermatology patients receive the highest standard of evidence-based care and support through planning, co-ordinating, delivery and evaluation of the service. You will also be involved in service development and educational activities, and ensuring Trust objectives and targets are met. This exciting opportunity requires you to be committed, organised and an excellent communicator. You must be able to manage your own time effectively and work as part of a team, as you will be managing patients in your own clinic sessions and participating in patient reviews/presentations with members of the multi-disciplinary team. Informal visits are welcome and encouraged. Main duties of the job Lead and develop nurse-led clinics for patients with eczema, psoriasis, acne, and other chronic skin conditions. Provide expert advice, counselling, and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Undertake systemic drug monitoring, including biologics, methotrexate, ciclosporin, and isotretinoin. Independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients in nurse-led clinics. Support and educate junior colleagues, acting as a mentor and role model. Participate in service development, clinical audits, and research initiatives to improve dermatology care. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and attend MDT meetings to ensure coordinated care. Act as a non-medical prescriber (or work towards this qualification).
