About the role
The Brokerage Team at West Northants Council brokers care packages for Adult Social Care Services, including Residential, Respite, Community-based Care, Supported Living, Supported Accommodation, and Support at Home, in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and Council policy.
The role requires the Brokerage Officer to manage their own referrals, engage and communicate clearly with internal and external partners, and work closely with the Team Leader, Senior, and colleagues to ensure that outcomes are met.
The post holder must communicate effectively at all levels via phone, email, and face-to-face, and be able to work both in a team and independently.
Brokerage aligns with the Part Flexible Working Policy, meaning you will need to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.

What will you be doing?
The role of the Brokerage Officer is to broker care packages for Adult Social Care Services, building good working relationships with a range of providers and working closely with our Quality & Commissioning colleagues to ensure positive outcomes.
About you
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships. You will need a positive outlook, be adept at finding solutions, and adapt to a fast-paced, busy environment. Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.
The role requires both operational and transactional skills, so IT skills are essential. You should have previous experience working independently and the ability to prioritize your work while being collaborative and supportive of colleagues.
