What's involved with this role: Role: Commercial Strategy Lead - Infrastructure Projects Job Ref: QAD 1847/0411 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate Hours per week: 37 hours per week Contract Length: Initially 18 months Location: Reading, West Berkshire – hybrid working We are seeking an experienced Commercial Strategy Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for three major Infrastructure programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-value commercial sourcing strategies, with specific experience in Public Contract Regulations (PCR) and familiarity with the NEC framework. Candidates should have direct experience in Infrastructure, particularly within heavy civil projects, and have worked on high-value projects. NEC experience is highly beneficial, while experience within a client organisation, bringing a client-focused perspective, is also desirable. Key Responsibilities Create and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for three distinct infrastructure programs. Develop and manage contracting models tailored to each program’s specific needs. Establish performance regimes to ensure optimal delivery and performance from suppliers. Ensure all sourcing strategies and activities comply with Public Contract Regulations (PCR). Maintain a thorough understanding of governance structures and requirements. Key requirements: Proven experience in developing and implementing high-value commercial sourcing strategies. Strong understanding and practical experience with Public Contract Regulations (PCR). Experience with NEC frameworks is highly beneficial. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage contracting models and performance regimes. Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
