Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a qualified teacher of Girls PE to join a secondary academy.
This is a full-time supply teaching role starting April 2025 for a year to cover a maternity leave.
The Role
Teacher of Girl's PE and Dance, five days a week.
Responsibilities include:
1. Teaching Core PE, AQA GCSE PE, Edexcel BTEC Sport, and Edexcel BTEC Performing Arts (Dance).
2. Delivery of practical and theory physical education lessons.
3. Innovative teaching to engage active, independent, and responsible learners.
4. Delivering a range of sports and activities including football, netball, dance, trampolining, badminton, rugby league, cross country, and athletics.
The School
Successful 11-16 academy with good Ofsted rating (June 2024).
State of the art facilities for teaching and learning, including:
1. 2 full-size sports halls and one half-size sports hall.
2. Dance studio and multi-use games area.
3. New 3G full-size astro turf and tennis courts.
4. 2 3G pitches and 3 football pitches.
5. Indoor cricket nets, fitness suite, swimming pool, and 3 PE classrooms.

Minimum Requirements
To join us and be successful in this Teacher of Girls PE and Dance role, you will need to:
* Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
* Provide a CV with full employment/education history included, explaining any employment breaks.
* Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions.
* This role is only suitable for a female teacher as you will be required to supervise the girls in the changing rooms.
