GXO Logistics are looking for a Compliance and Reporting Tax Manager to manage and support its markets in Continental Europe. You will be based from our London Head Office, with the flexibility of hybrid working available.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Oversee all Continental corporate income tax matters and tax compliance working across co-sourcing arrangements with external service providers. This includes, but is not limited to, US GAAP, local statutory accounting, and Pillar 2.
2. Manage cash tax payments and forecasting, R&D credits, tax audits and securing tax advice.
3. Support local markets with local tax requirements.
4. Design, evaluate and implement tax structuring opportunities in, primarily but not necessarily exclusively, Continental Europe.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
1. ACA, CTA, CPA (or equivalent) with strong corporate tax knowledge; VAT experience would also be beneficial.
2. Substantial Tax Management experience in a Big-4 or in-house tax function (experience at a US multinational company is preferred, but not essential).
3. Skilled in US GAAP/IFRS/French GAAP tax accounting with a good understanding of topics such as IAS 12, deferred tax positions, valuation allowances, and working with third party auditors.
4. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret the impact of tax legislation on the business, along with a strong commercial and business awareness.
5. Skilled user of ERP systems (such as SAP and/or Oracle/HFM) and Tax Software (such as Longview).
6. Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
7. Fluent English and French (preferably) speaker; other languages (Polish, Italian, Spanish, German) is a plus.
