About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
The HPC programme is about to enter a change in delivery phase to commence bulk installation on site from the start of 2024, whereas previously the focus has been on securing the design and manufacturing. As such the spotlight will fall on the construction leads for the engineering delivery of the site scope.
The current team size is 8 engineers, however this will grow to match the workload on site and will involve operational leadership of a matrixed team. 1. Review the content of the FCR (Field Change Requests) and NCR (site Non-Conformance) issued by the construction team
2. Optioneering and ensure the proposed remediation plan is relevant and achievable
3. Ensure the FCR/NCR contains a preferred option and confirm this option remains the best for project decision
4. Propose the level of delegation to be allocated for the FCR/NCR treatment
5. Review of the trend of FCR/NCR (frequency of occurrence, type of issues)
6. Mitigate in advance and when relevant the trend and the most frequent occurrences met by the construction team
7. Coordinate the flow of communication between Front Office organisation (JDO) and construction team (HK8010 – MEH JV)
8. Request additional information/details from the construction team (HK8010 – MEH JV) when requested by the Front Office organisation (JDO)
9. Provide sufficient level of details to Front Office organisation (JDO)
10. Proactive reactivity and technical experience to enable site construction activities to be executed

15. Proven experience working in an equivalent / related role in the construction industry
