The Opportunity An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Warehouse Supervisor to join our client's global, leading supplier to play a key part of the Purchasing & Supplier Chain team at Widnes. Your duties and responsibilities will be Effective execution of the resource plan for the warehouse function detailing reasons for deviations. Ensure deliverables for all warehouse area KPIs SAP Super user warehouse area. Review daily SAP warehouse monitor and ensure all issues/errors are delt with in a timely manner. Participate in layer auditing of warehouse conformance to operation standards and safety. Operate appropriate packaging/blending/tanker loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Carry out associated warehousing duties including the loading and unloading of vehicles. Control packaging equipment/blending equipment working as an individual or as a member of a team. Produce timely and accurate data entry on both computer and in manual, written logs. Assist monthly stock checks/count for all warehouses inclusive of all WDWM products, Blending/Production raw materials and packaging. Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards at all times using 5S principles. Flexible in the use of skills and competencies on their own and other plant operations. Carry out minor maintenance, fault diagnosis, and to provide assistance to tradesmen. Liaise with tradesmen, QC, Process Technologist, logistics, etc. Undertake tasks outside main area of skill and competence under TEST principles. Operate FLT counter balance and High Reach Truck within site policies and procedures. (inclusive of FLT counter balance and High Reach Truck daily checks and report problems). Apply site and local SHE procedures and identify opportunities for improvement. Apply safety health and environment rules, procedures and legislation. Working integrally with other members of the Purchasing and Supply Chain team, the role is responsible for the efficient and effective enactment of the department elements at Widnes site, delivering performance to agreed procedures and standards, suggesting and implementing improvements as necessary to address the changing nature of the business and its environment. Controls and executes tasks provides support for other tasks within Widnes site Warehouse operations. Supports overall operating excellence by controlling cost, operating efficiency and working to department service levels. Effective Implementation of site Warehouse processes. Develop the knowledge, skills and effectiveness of the warehouse team working collectively and as an individual member. Establishing positive relations with internal stakeholders at all levels. Ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse. Provide and communicate Safety and Environment Statistics. Quality Conformance in all activities - weight, appearance, etc. Accurate plant and SAP records. Housekeeping standards – 5S/Area audits.You will have the following qualifications and experience Experience in warehouse operation and packing. Expert in SAP Workflows and SOPs for the area and ensure conformance of warehouse operators. Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and ambition to be part of a successful team. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Experience of using SAP A flexible approach to work in line with business requirements Excellent communication skills including fluency in English (both written and oral) FLT counter balance and High Reach Truck licenseIt's great if you also have the following Excellence in the use of MS office products Experience in working in an organisation, spanning multiple geographies and cultures Warehouse ElementsThe setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a chemical and manufacturing site. These can include, chemical burns, trips and falls, overexertion, cuts and scrapes, chemical exposure, inhalation of chemicals, confined spaces, heavy machinery and equipment, electrical hazards, machine guarding, sudden or loud noises, moving vehicles and working at height.
