We are currently recruiting for Frame and Cover Operative to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area, Region. About the Role
As a Frame and Cover Operative, you will:
1. Maintain great customer service and communication
2. Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
3. Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablet
4. Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work
5. Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
6. Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
7. Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
8. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
9. Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
10. Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
11. Wear and maintain in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bring to your supervisor’s attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment
12. Ensure on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
13. Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently
14. Excavate by hand (not solely reliant on machinery)
15. Replace gullies with precision and care
16. Complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.)
17. Ensure highway compliance with reinstatement to avoid defects
18. Be able to read and understand Drainage plans
19. Maintain accurate records of works completed, including materials used and time spent on each task
20. Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed
Experience and Qualifications: (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
1. Full UK driving license (Required)
2. NPORS
3. Banksman
4. Manual Handling
5. Emergency First Aid
6. NRSWA
7. EUSR National Water Hygiene
8. Asbestos Awareness
9. Slinger and Signaller
10. Abrasive Wheels
11. Calm Water
12. EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny
13. EUSR Water SHEA
14. Face Fit Tested – FFP3
15. Dumper Wheeled Forward Tipping
16. EUSR Shuttering & Shoring – Deep Excavation
17. Excavator Above 10 Ton – Tracked
18. Excavator Below 10 Ton – Tracked
19. NRSWA – Operative Units (LA,01-06)
20. Sygma Solutions
21. Confined Spaces (Waste)
22. SSSTS or SMSTS
23. Excavator used as Crane Lifting Ops
24. Experience with the use of PMMA (Polymer Modified Mastic Asphalt Units)
Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
