We’re looking for a Emergency Planning & Resilience Officer to join our client’s team. This role will be responsible for implementing emergency response and business continuity arrangements, ensuring compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act, and maintaining effective risk management for Brent Council.

Hybrid role requirement to travel to office based in HA9
Full-time, 35 hours per week

Develop and implement the client's emergency response and business continuity plans.
Coordinate and update civil contingency risk assessments and response strategies.
Advise on emergency planning legislation and best practices.
Lead training exercises for staff and key stakeholders on emergency response procedures.
Manage operational aspects of the council’s emergency planning functions.
Liaise with partner agencies, government departments, and emergency services.
Support the coordination of the client's response to major incidents and ensure compliance with mutual aid arrangements.
Maintain public communication and media strategies in collaboration with the Head of Communications.What We’re Looking For:
