Account Director (Poundland Media Centre) Location: Walsall based with regular travel to Leeds and suppliers Salary: £50k 10% discretionary bonus Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: January 2025 Role Purpose: We are looking for a proactive and relationship-driven individual to manage key projects within the Poundland Media Centre (PMC). This role is crucial in ensuring smooth integration between our Leeds-based GIG Retail team and Poundland’s Commercial, Marketing, and E-Commerce teams. You will work closely with Poundland’s top suppliers and buying team to support Joint Marketing Plans (JMPs) and deliver key commercial objectives. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with Poundland teams and top suppliers, acting as an ambassador for GIG and PMC. Serve as a trusted advisor, providing excellent client service, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with teams across proposition, marketing, sales, and operations to drive revenue growth for PMC. Media Centre Integration: Represent PMC in key Poundland commercial and marketing meetings. Identify opportunities to enhance media delivery processes and ensure PMC processes are well integrated with Poundland's workflows. Project Management & Execution: Support major projects and programs across the PMC, collaborating with the GIG Proposition and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution. Develop comprehensive project plans and drive integration among stakeholders. Media Planning: Attend Joint Business Plan (JBP) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) sessions to understand brand objectives and collaborate with internal teams to align campaigns. Identify opportunities for new media campaigns and integrate PMC into Poundland’s marketing plans. Market Insight & Innovation: Stay informed about retail media trends and industry dynamics to offer strategic recommendations that enhance retail media campaigns. Drive media sales for top suppliers in collaboration with the sales team.
