I am seeking an experienced Events Manager with special events experience, preferably within a fundraising environment. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in event management, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. Day-to-day of the role: Plan, organise, and manage all aspects of events, ensuring they are executed flawlessly. Create a special events strategy with the support of the Director of Communications Lead the special events team Manage budgets meticulously, including writing and forecasting income and expenditure. Utilise Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook to coordinate and streamline event planning and communication. Stay informed about the special events landscape, including sector-specific challenges and opportunities. Travel to event locations as needed, using own vehicle or reliable transport arrangements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in a special events management role, preferably within a fundraising environment. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders. High level of attention to detail and proficiency in project management. Experience in budget management, including writing and forecasting income and expenditure. Understanding of the Code of Practice and GDPR. Full driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use, or access to reliable transport arrangements.
