Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our senior living environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, particularly within nursing homes or assisted living settings, and will be responsible for supporting the overall management of the facility. This role requires a blend of leadership skills and hands-on involvement in care delivery, ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.
Duties
1. Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
2. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to promote a positive working environment.
3. Develop and implement personalised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
4. Administer medications as required, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
5. Conduct regular assessments of residents’ health and wellbeing, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
6. Foster strong relationships with residents and their families, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
7. Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and service delivery.
8. Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld throughout the facility.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a supervisory role within a nursing home or assisted living environment is essential.
2. Proven expertise in medication administration and knowledge of care plans for elderly individuals.
3. Familiarity with dementia care practices and an understanding of the unique needs of seniors.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
6. A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating empathy towards residents’ needs.

Pay: £27,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
