- The Role: Lead and manage complex Transport infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget Collaborate with the Head of Sales within this market to develop new business opportunities and win projects within the rail sector Oversee and manage multiple projects that may evolve into a program of work, ensuring individual project objectives are met Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment Manage contract negotiations, change control, quality, risk and schedule management to meet the project requirements while minimising risks and maximising opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Provide expertise and direction in the areas of site installation, electrical engineering, control systems, safety systems, commissioning and systems management Ensure effective communication of project progress, issues and resolutions to senior management Qualifications Required: Chartered Engineer, and recognised Project Management Qualification (i.e.
APM, PMI etc) and Degree in a relevant engineering discipline Experience & Skills: Minimum 10 years of experience delivering complex projects with multiple clients.
Proven track record in delivering large-scale Automation Infrastructure projects on time, to budget and to quality standards Strong organisational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and support their growth Must have significant experience managing NEC3/NEC4 contracts Experience in program and project management, site installation, control systems, safety systems, commissioning, and systems management Understand the infrastructure industry regulatory requirements Ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues Comfortable interacting with senior management Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills; adept at presenting to all levels of the organisation Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills An excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of this expanding business sector.
