FP&A MANAGER
* Location: London, flexible hybrid WFH 3-4 days p/wk
Pear Talent is representing a rapidly growing Insurance business who have an excellent newly created opportunity for an FP&A Manager. Reporting to the Head of FP&A you'll play a key role in providing critical business performance insight, business partnering and financial planning support to senior management and C-suite, as well as directly contributing to commercial decision making.
You will play a vital role to ensure sound commercial finance decisions are made across the business as well as monitoring performance against the annual business plan, highlighting to management key risks and opportunities and proposing key actions as required.
They’ve been growing extremely well with continued growth prospects and further expected acquisitions, as well as the backing of a well-established group. As such, investors are expecting more comprehensive financial insight and business performance KPIs for their own due diligence. The Finance Director needs someone to liaise with senior/Exec stakeholders across the business to gather and present these financials to support future investments and is looking for experienced FP&A candidates with strong financial analysis experience who are comfortable with financial models. The role is very broad and will involve work alongside both business and finance stakeholders, with a focus on all P&L line items.
Key accountabilities:
* Understand the markets in which the business operates, the strategies, risks, products and key drivers of performance.
* Support the FD with all aspects of divisional financial performance including, cash and working capital management, financial and scenario modelling, as well as investment appraisal.
* Key role in the annual financial plan, partnering closely with senior management across the business for delivery to the Board.
* Lead the analysis of financial performance, MI, forecasts and contribute to regular monthly reporting to the Exec.
* Business partner with senior management to challenge financial results and drive business performance.
* Dealing with ad-hoc requests and special projects as they arise.
Required experience:
* The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with a strong academic record and previous FP&A experience in Insurance.
* Experience of M&A, valuation and investment appraisal would be an advantage.
* Credible when liaising with senior business and finance stakeholders.
