We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Manager in our 2nd line Risk Function to work as part of the Tesco Bank Risk Compliance team.We’re looking for you to support the Head of Compliance in the delivery of the Bank’s compliance oversight. You’ll be working together as a team alongside the other senior compliance managers, reporting directly to the Head of Compliance. The oversight work is varied and includes FCA regulatory compliance and data protection. SMCR processes and risk adjustment.
What you’ll be doing
1. Providing subject matter expertise on compliance with the consumer regulatory regimes the banking business is subject to, including FCA regulation and data protection.
2. Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to embed compliance awareness across the organisation.
3. Performing close and continuous and thematic oversight to support the Bank’s compliance with regulation and provide a view to management through Risk Opinions.
4. Reporting on regulatory compliance risk, providing input to Committee papers.
5. Acting as a delegate for the Head of Compliance where required.

We need you to have
6. Expert knowledge of consumer regulation applicable to retail banking (including FCA regulation and data protection).
7. The ability to shape, develop and deliver on a compliance monitoring plan.
8. The ability to apply that knowledge to provide practical opinions and oversight, with an understanding of how credit cards, loans and savings products operate.
9. Good listening and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their point of view and providing practical and pragmatic advice on regulatory compliance.
10. Good report writing skills, with the ability to understand how to deliver key messages in Board and Oversight reports.
11. The ability to work well as part of a team.
