Electrical Maintenance/Site Engineer wanted.
Our client is one of the UK’s market leading companies in the supply, manufacture, design, install and service of pumping equipment, looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join their external site teams.
This challenging and diverse role includes working alongside a mechanical engineer installing, commissioning and servicing pumping equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Attend sites across the UK in your given area.
2. Support our after-sales and breakdown department when available.
3. Be prepared to stay away from home when required, at least one night a week.
4. Maintain company procedures and improve where possible.
5. Complete site reports after each visit and obtain customer signature.
6. Return all completed site reports and time sheets in a timely fashion.
7. Be a good ambassador for the company, promoting all products and services.
8. Ensure all materials and tools are available before leaving and complete works within time frames.
9. Communicate at all levels.
10. Be responsible for petty cash and credit card.
11. Identify training needs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Based around the Bristol North Somerset Area.
ANY OTHER DUTIES NECESSARY:
1. Be flexible to the requirements of the business.
2. Observe and maintain the company’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
3. Undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ TRAINING
1. C&G Level 3 - Initial and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations - Essential.
2. Electrical qualification to 17th or 18th Edition - Desirable.
3. Confined space training - Desirable.
4. First Aid - Desirable.
5. CSCS - Desirable.
KNOWLEDGE
1. Knowledge of the industry - Desirable.
EXPERIENCE
1. Experience of working in a similar role or maintenance - Desirable.
2. Preferably with motors and/or pumps - Desirable.
3. Good communication skills (written & verbal) - Desirable.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
1. Ability to work flexibly - Essential.
2. Team player - Essential.
3. Strong prioritisation skills, ability to manage own workload - Essential.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
1. Self-motivated - Essential.
2. Prepared to learn new skills - Desirable.
Typically working 45-50 hours per week. OTE £45K.
Benefits:
1. Flexibility to work contracted hours over 4 days, subject to workload and manager's discretion.
2. 30 days holiday (including statutory), rising to 33 days after one year’s service and beginning of next calendar year.
