We’re working with an established contractor to recruit a Section Engineer for an upcoming highways scheme in Wiltshire. The project is upwards of £20m and comprises of heavy civils work to widening an existing busy a-road. This will include deep drainage works, balancing ponds, new road construction, roundabouts and tie-ing in with the existing road.
The project is roughly a 2 year programme, which is due to start in Spring providing you with a secure run of work for the foreseeable future and plenty of opportunities to progress through engineering or into management.
The business is excellent in developing their engineers and are at the forefront of engineering technology to continuously improve the way they do things and set trends in the industry.
Section Engineer duties:
* Lead a team of engineers on a package of works
* Setting out, earthworks, structures and new highway using GPS or Total Station
* Quality assurance documentation
* Support with ITP’s
* Manage technical queries and RFI’s
The contractor works across the South West and South East supporting major projects and delivering projects directly for local authorities, National Highways as well as the private sector.
