Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs Support students with personal care, mobility, and independent living skills as needed, fostering their confidence, self-esteem, and sense of belonging within the school community. Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to monitor students' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and make adjustments to support plans as necessary. Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing feedback on students' achievements, challenges, and areas for development, and promoting positive home-school partnerships. Provide personal care when required What are we looking for? Knowledge of and experience with a range of SEN conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), speech and language difficulties, sensory processing disorder (SPD), and physical disabilities. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, families, and external professionals. Empathy, patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development and well-being of children and young people with special educational needs.
