Early Career Teacher (ECT) Primary Supply Teacher

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT)’s who have recently finished their PGCE course acquiring QTS and are looking to work within primary schools and academies within Sheffield.
As an Early Career Teacher, you will gain valuable experience and skills working within a variety of primary school settings in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity to kick start your teaching career and make a real difference in the lives of young learners in Sheffield.

As an Early Career Teacher your responsibilities include:
– Delivering the pre-prepared lesson plan to the class ensuring all students are engaged and learning.
– Using a variety of teaching techniques to meet the needs of all students.
– Ensuring the classroom is a safe and welcoming environment for all students to learn in.
– Working collaboratively with the teaching assistant or any support staff.
– Building rapport with the students.
– Building relationships with other staff members within the school.
To be successful for the Early Career Teacher role, you must:
– Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
– Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process one through Career Teachers)
– Hold eligibility to work in the UK
– Have a minimum of 6 weeks experience teaching Key Stage 1/ Key Stage 2.
– Have a strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
– Have excellent communication skills

Teaching skills communication, empathy, engaging, good behaviour management skills, good classroom management, good communication skills, key stage 1 experience, key stage 2 experience, knowledge of curriculum, PPA teaching experience, SEN experience, SIMS experience, years 1-6 experience
