Lead Occupational Health Nurse
Salary up to £46,439
Start Date September 2025
Role Overview:
1. Lead a team of Occupational Nurses and in-house counsellor.
2. Support the council’s workforce of 10,000 across Derbyshire.
3. Collaborate with Occupational Health physicians, counselling service, Health and Safety, and HR colleagues.
4. Work with external customers, including Schools and District Councils.
Responsibilities:
5. Lead the team and work clinically.
6. Deliver face-to-face assessments, case management, workplace assessments, pre-employment screening, and health surveillance.
7. Provide advice to colleagues and managers.
8. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams internally.
9. Based at County Hall, Matlock; report to Health and Safety Manager, Policy and Wellbeing Development.
10. Interact with employees from various roles in diverse work environments.
11. Travel around the county occasionally; driving is essential.

Ideal Candidate:
21. Registered General Nurse with OH Diploma or Degree.
22. Excellent communication skills.
23. Customer, performance, and solution focused.
24. Proven track record of high standards, clinically and operationally.
