General Summary of the Purpose of the Position
This is a newly created position sitting in the heart of the sales team and is a fantastic blank canvas to grow into a fantastic sales career. This person will work in tandem with many internal departments such as customer services, marketing and operations. This role will deliver core administration that sits underneath the sales process and will become an expert in the the CRM system (Salesforce) and reporting. Whilst this role will be responsible for looking after the administration; it’s not a behind the scenes role! We are looking for someone comfortable and confident to pick up the phone; follow up on sales leads, make outbound calls to our customers and support our sales reps in follow up calls and finding commercial opportunities.
You will be responsible for:
* Working alongside the National Sales Manager and Managing Director to set up reports, set up projects/sprints and navigate the CRM system to produce regular reports
* Analyse the sales reports to showcase gaps and opportunities
* Progress opportunities internally and hold key stake holders accountable
* Following guidance from the sales reps, build up a pipeline of opportunity to outbound (cold call) customers with a view of opening opportunities to set up meetings with sales reps in their area
* Build up a portfolio of customers to conduct follow up or after sales calls to ensure we have delivered; passing on new opportunities for upselling or escalating concerns/complaints
* Supporting the Business Development Reps with research into new areas and opportunities, seeking new business and placing these prospects into the sales funnel
* Completing general administration for the team of reps on the road, this includes processing new orders, chasing orders and ensuring we serve our customers better than anyone else
* Working with the colleagues in marketing to prepare collateral and materials for new customers, ensuring this is prepared and shipped to customers in a timely manner
* Supporting with events; ensuring the team have the right people with the right equipment, in the right places

* Ability to find solutions and tackle challenges with consistent positivity and optimism
* Ability to confidently use IT software, Microsoft Office and navigate a CRM system (Salesforce)
* Ability to produce reports and be comfortable analyzing data
* Demonstrable experience of delivering outstanding customer experience (in any industry)
* Confident to approach new people, pick up the phone and build strong relationships
* Ability to think commercially; sharing new opportunities, ideas and leads with the team
* Aspirations to grow into a future sales representative, commercial analyst or future leader
