Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting our key client on a 12-month FTC Finance Business Partner. This role is based in the city centre and operates a very flexible working model. This role is crucial in supporting the commercial finance function by fostering strong working relationships with operational leaders in two business units.
The focus of this position is on maintaining and enhancing accurate financial reporting for these areas while driving efficiencies and continuous improvements throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide detailed financial insights and commentary on performance against budget/reforecast, including a review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
* Prepare and review month-end journals
* Focus on reducing aged debt by identifying key drivers and addressing customer-related issues
* Assist in the preparation of annual budget forecasts and reforecasts for relevant business units
* Own the financial data, ensuring focus on business drivers, key messages, and no unexpected surprises
* Drive continuous improvement in processes and the flow of information across departments
* Report on business-specific KPIs such as aborts, utilization, and job mix
* Prepare the month-end business pack for review with operational leaders
* Participate in weekly and ad-hoc meetings with operational leaders
* Mentor and support finance assistants/analysts within the team, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment
