This role will support the business in delivering technical related solutions in the fuel injection systems engineering team - within the PHINIA Aftermarket. Support engineering activities to deliver new or improve existing manufacturing processes for remanufacturing / re-processing fuel system products and/or components Work with Engineering Manager on capital expenditure projects from concept through to implementation, leveraging lean principles, new technologies, and external suppliers to meet customer requirements. Responsible for developing and/or reverse engineering remanufacturing methodologies on competitor components/products To provide comprehensive technical/engineering expertise on the product groups under the fuel injection systems portfolio for the aftermarket, OES and remanufacturing channels. Develop technical documentation such as product specifications, bill of materials, global technical requirements, product benchmarking and design review reports and processes. Support the quality team to investigate quality issues or product concerns. Liaise with the business product line, purchasing, and supplier quality teams ensuring alignment on new product launches. To ensure that engineering changes are documented, and the Aftermarket commercial and technical systems are efficiently updated. To support projects by providing technical expertise on equipment, products, and the compilation of support documentation for use in both workshop and garage environments. Load engineering data into relevant systems such as AS400, SAP and PIM system. Develop new and manage existing CAD drawings related to fuel injection system products in the aftermarket portfolio. Provide technical expertise to the Global Engineering manager and the business on all work aspects that are within the remit of the product engineers role. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications) Degree in Engineering (HNC, HND with relevant industrial experience will be considered). Practical mechanical aptitude for automotive components. 2 years of experience in design and/or manufacturing of Electronics or Electro-mechanical devices 4 years of experience with the use of laboratory equipment Hands-on experience with production processes, including automation, assembly, end of line testing and material handling with electrical/electro -mechanical components CAD knowledge and experience – SolidWorks (preferred) other software platforms will be considered. Design and validation with fuel injection system product will be an advantage.
