East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust are now recruiting Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers for KCH Hospital in Canterbury.
If successful, you will be invited to an Assessment Day at the KCH Hospital on 29th March 2025.
Please note that in order to attend the event you must submit an application to this post. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
The majority of positions are likely to be within our Surgical, Medical and Admission wards as well as the Emergency Department. Full-time and part-time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) are available, but nursing is carried out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so we do require full flexibility from you.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of having been part of a team
* Experience of or awareness of a range of work practices in dealing with customers
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrates patient-focused approach
* Recent experience of working in a healthcare environment
Qualifications
* Basic written Maths and English Skills
* Basic understanding of Patients' needs
* Care Certificate
* GCSE or Level 2 equivalent Maths and English
Other Requirements
* Flexibility and openness to working in a range of areas. Flexibility with shift/working patterns to meet the service
Knowledge
* Be aware of and adhere to the Trust's Values and Behaviours
* Knowledge of the Data Protection Act, CNORIS, Caldicott Guidelines, and local policies regarding confidentiality and access to medical records.
* Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
