Generalist Adviser / Information Officer Reporting to: Welfare Benefits Supervisor Hours: 36 hours per week (may be occasionally required to attend events outside of normal office hours but time off in lieu arrangements in place) 25 days annual leave Salary: £23,000 - £24,500 (pro-rata) per annum up to 5% pension Contract: Permanent dependant on funding and performance Location: Hybrid working from home, office and in the community locations Context of role: This role is part of the front line response to the cost of living crisis in St Helens, including tackling fuel poverty, referrals to foodbank, identifying unclaimed benefits and supporting our clients to find solutions to the problems they present. In short you will be making a real difference to peoples lives every day. Role purpose: Triage clients to find out what support they need and identify the best way to help them. Deliver advice and information via face-to-face appointments, telephone and email channels. Complete benefits checks and other types of assessments and applications when appropriate.
