The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated KS2 Teacher to deliver high-quality education to students in Key Stage 2. This role requires a nurturing and adaptable individual who can maintain continuity in learning while making a positive impact on students' academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
2. Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions where needed.
3. Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
4. Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and school staff to ensure a smooth transition during maternity cover.
5. Maintain high standards of behaviour management and classroom discipline.
6. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
7. Uphold safeguarding and welfare responsibilities in line with school policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Experience: At least 1 year of teaching experience in a primary school setting, with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Education or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Skills: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences.
Training: Familiarity with safeguarding policies, assessment strategies, and inclusive teaching practices.
To be considered for the higher end of the salary bracket, candidates should demonstrate:
Advanced Teaching Experience: Extensive experience in teaching KS2 with a proven track record of student progress.
Leadership or Coordinator Roles: Experience as a subject lead, phase leader, or involvement in extracurricular activities.
Professional Development: Continued professional development (CPD) in primary education, including advanced training in literacy, numeracy, or SEN support.
