We are St Barnabas Hospices (the Group), comprised of three merged Sussex Hospices – Chestnut Tree House (a nurse-led children’s hospice in Arundel), St Barnabas House (an adult hospice based in Worthing) and, most recently, Martlets Hospice (an adult hospice based in Brighton & Hove), together with Martlets Care, a subsidiary domiciliary care agency. Now the largest group of hospices in Sussex and one of the largest in the UK, we are committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to adults, children and their families across Sussex.
Following a period of significant change and the recent merger of Martlets Hospice, we are now emerging as a new Group and continuing to evolve with a strong focus on organisational development, including the development of a new people plan, substantial culture development and simultaneously devising our business plan for 25/26. Other immediate priorities include the continued focus on the quality of patient care, the restructuring of clinical services and financial sustainability.
To achieve this transformation, we are now seeking an authentic and credible senior leader with significant experience of driving change in a complex environment. This could be in the context of merger, acquisition and/or in a group structure.
