A local Chelmsford pharmacy is looking for an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT) to join their team on a part-time basis.
Close to local GP services, amenities and bus links, this pharmacy is a popular and convenient location for community health and wellbeing services. The team is highly praised for the quality and scope of pharmacy care they offer, which includes seasonal vaccination and travel clinic services, healthy lifestyle support, blood pressure checks and more alongside prescriptions.
As an Accuracy Checking Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the pharmacy running smoothly: safely assembling prescriptions, completing final accuracy checks, ensuring compliance, and resolving queries. Your support will help ensure each visitor feels welcome and well cared-for when accessing pharmacy services.
Your role will come with further training and development so that you can build on your current skills and experience, with a lot of potential for you to get involved in the pharmacy services side and in managerial duties. This would therefore be a great opportunity for someone who is keen on progressing in the clinical and managerial career track.
This is a part-time role for an Accuracy Checking Technician, ideally 4 days per week although min. 2 days can be considered.
This is ideally a permanent position, but a long-term locum contract can also be considered.
Person Specification:
1. (Essential) NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Service Skills or Level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians
2. (Essential) Active GPhC registration
3. (Essential) Accuracy Checking Technician accreditation
4. (Desirable) Trained in vaccinations
