In the "Hardlines B2B & Category Expansion" division at Amazon, this role is responsible for driving customer satisfaction and sustainable business growth for the overall Hardlines B2B (corporate customer) segment. As a program manager, you will play a key role in the launch phase by:
1. Developing and rolling out search functionalities and product detail pages to deliver the best-in-class experience for our B2B customers in Japan market, and continuously optimizing these features.
2. Strengthening the traffic and growth the Hardlines B2B core projects, especially the MRO program.
3. Collaborating cross-functionally with various internal teams such as Amazon Business Sales, Marketing, Operations, Retail and Seller team to solve challenges and build new programs.
Through this role, you will gain valuable experience in creating innovative purchasing experiences for B2B customers and contributing to the development and operation of new programs, as well as driving broad-ranging initiatives in collaboration with US/EU teams. MRO* stands for "Maintenance, Repair, and Operation," referring to indirect materials required by a wide range of companies in manufacturing, construction, engineering, automotive, and other industries. The MRO segment includes a wide range of products, such as consumables (PPE, tapes, cleaning supplies), industrial equipment and parts (compressors, pumps, valves), plant maintenance supplies (gaskets, lubricants, repair tools), and construction products (light bulbs, breakers, HVAC filters).
Key job responsibilities
1. Planning, implementation, and documentation of product and feature: Engage with stakeholders across Japan, EU & US to understand and resolve technical challenges, build consensus through documentation (e.g., business plans, requirement specifications) for the development and rollout of product and feature that deliver the best-in-class experience for B2B customers, such as delivery experience & search functionality, and maximize their impact.
2. Optimizing search performance: In collaboration with the technical team, explore solutions to optimize B2B search performance leveraging Gen-AI, and develop associated business plans and documentation (e.g. PFRAQ) as needed to formulate and drive the initiatives.
3. Catalog and product information optimization: Execute optimizations for browse nodes, refinements, and attributes to improve searchability, maximize traffic, and increase purchase conversion rates.
4. Engaging and strengthening partnerships: Engage with both domestic and international partner teams to drive the MRO strategy and collaborate with them seamlessly to launch and optimize new products and features.
5. Supporting customer acquisition and engagement strategy: Partner with the AB Marketing team to develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and enhance engagement in the B2B category especially MRO. Work closely with key stakeholders such as category teams, product managers, engineers, operations, and AB sales to drive towards ambitious goals for new programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
