Llandovery Community Hospital is a 15 bedded Rehabilitation/Palliative care unit, providing a high standard of care to patients who require support in Rehabilitation from Nursing and Therapy staff.
We are looking for a dependable and dedicated individual with a passion for patient care in a positive and busy environment. The post holder will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills and be a team player.
Hours include nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Health Care Support Workers. You would be working alongside an established team.
We are a friendly, supportive team delivering high standards of care and clinical excellence.
You will ensure that patients/clients receive safe, individualised, and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions, as directed by the registered nurse.
You will communicate effectively and in conjunction with other team members, contributing to and maintaining the ward philosophy.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Level 2 in care or ability to undertake a period of induction and on-the-job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work-related procedures, for example completion of a competency-based workbook equivalent to Level 2 vocational qualification.
* Ability to understand and comply with mandatory induction standards and Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers in Wales.
* Level 2 vocational qualification in a relevant health care-related subject.
Experience
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Previous experience working with people in a caring capacity.
Language Skills
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1).
