Paramount Personnel is looking for an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join an established and focused team of chefs in an award winning Hotel in the New Forest area, Hampshire.
Our client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Pastry Sous Chef, looking for the next step in their career.
Working under a talented Head Pastry Chef and Head Chef, you’ll have a proven background in a professional kitchen and will be looking to learn and develop your skills. The food offering is relaxed serving quality dishes that showcase the best locally sourced ingredients.
Pastry Sous Chef Responsibilities;
8. Assisting the Head Pastry Chef in menu development.
9. Overseeing the production of high quality pastries, desserts and breads.
10. Training and mentoring junior pastry chefs.
11. Managing pastry inventory and management/ordering stock.
12. Managing a maintaining a clean and organised work area.
13. Ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.
You’ll first and foremost have a passion for food and all treats sweet and savoury. You will be extremely hard-working, and be excited by developing new menus and ideas with a focus on seasonality and quality produce. Our client has high standards however the most important ingredient they are looking for is a passion for the kitchen and a desire to be the best.
