The post is varied on a day-to-day basis, supporting a progressive clinical team, so communication, enthusiasm and being able to work calmly and creatively under pressure is essential. The successful candidate should be flexible with excellent communication skills and hold an IT qualification. They should have experience and competence in the use of computer packages and software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Graphs. They should demonstrate good written skills and accuracy in written records with an eye for detail, with excellent grammar and punctuation skills.
Main duties of the job
The Tissue Viability Administrator will provide administrative support to the Tissue Viability Team who provide clinical services throughout the Trust geographical area. The successful candidate should be able to work as part of a team to ensure agreed levels of support are maintained. They will manage telephone calls on a day-to-day basis from internal and external agencies, upload community referrals, book community visits for the team and participate in service development within tissue viability across the Trust. Minute taking at meetings, supporting the organisation of training and education, supporting event organisation and all essential elements of the role.

Skills and Knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

Qualifications
* General level of education (GCSE or equivalent).
* Completion / active progress towards achieving NVQ in administration or equivalent relevant experience.
* IT qualification (ECDL, MOS, ITQ or equivalent).
Experience
* Experience working autonomously and flexibly as part of a team
* Office administration experience (minimum of two years) preferably within an NHS environment
* Proven experience of working with professionals at all levels and the public
* Experience of data collection and collation/audit
Physical skills
* Able to sit at a desk for long periods of time
* Able to perform advanced keyboard skills
* Able to concentrate for prolonged periods e.g. typing of complex/lengthy documents
* Able to travel between sites if required
