About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their committed team at a supportive and inclusive school in Kidderminster. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Support students with SEN in the classroom, adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students, helping them achieve their learning goals
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence
* Assist with behaviour management and social development strategies
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to implement personalised support plans
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
* Support students with personal care needs, where necessary, ensuring their well-being and comfort
About You
* Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
* Experience working with children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, or other learning difficulties
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students’ needs
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
* Willingness to undertake further training and professional development
