Time 4 Recruitment have an opportunity for a temporary Logistics Manager in Tunbridge Wells for 12 months work to join a well-established, award-winning, national main contractor. Our client specialises in key construction projects such as Hotels, Student Accommodation, and Residential Projects. It is vital you have been a Logistics Manager on similar schemes previously.
We are looking for a Logistics Manager for an immediate start in Tunbridge Wells, which could continue for the very long term for the right candidate.
This role is to start ASAP and will be a Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6pm role. We require an experienced and well-vetted candidate who comes with good references.
Role requirements
1. Good Communication skills
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in a logistics manager role with similar skill set and responsibilities.
3. Liaise with all levels of site management to ensure stock levels are kept to standard.
4. Manage and supervise the movement and distribution of storage from the suppliers of specific sectors and labour site.
5. Monitor materials on site and levels in the warehouse to ensure availability to all levels of staff.
6. Always keep the site tidy.
7. Play an active role in weekly logistics meetings, organising daily activities, and looking ahead on-site.
8. Traffic Marshall - Allocate and manage the traffic team in a busy city centre area.
9. Good English, present the company well, work beside local residents, and ensure we are managing expectations in accordance with a council-approved construction environmental management plan.
10. Good level of Health and Safety awareness.
11. Computer literate, IT proficient, and able to utilise basic software used for logistics.
12. Must have an SSSTS or SMSTS for this role.
