Location: Hybrid working, mostly from home, HQ Croydon and future national travel possibility

We’ve been around a long time but we’ve big aspirations for the future. We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious candidate who can work independently to help grow our client base and increase the value of their purchases.
Role summary
Your role is focused on existing customers and can be split into the following areas:
1. Identifying New Customers: Building relationships with new applicants that come via the Duffells website. Contacting potential customers from sales leads provided. Identifying and contacting new leads obtained via media platforms & online. Your role is to ensure that all new customers maximize their Duffells trade account.
2. Looking after a range of existing customers: Checking in with your clients, enhancing relationships and starting new ones is the core of this role. These clients already know our business; your role is to get even closer to them.
3. New products to existing clients: We’ll help you identify opportunities to inform your clients about our new products, relevant to their purchasing history and customer persona.
4. Cross selling: Identifying opportunities to sell existing products to customers who are likely to buy them but haven’t yet. It’s about winning that customer’s business consistently.
5. General growth: Focus on brands and products that are strategically important to the business while ensuring customers purchase as much as possible.
6. Day to day: In addition to client development, clients may ask you to assist with orders, quotes, deliveries, technical advice, and other queries, which should be passed on to our CSR team.
You’ll be successful if you can build long-term relationships by impressing clients and offering exceptional service.
The role is varied, involving:
1. Spending time speaking with your customers.
2. Creating new accounts and vetting applications.
3. Quoting and ordering products, setting up discounts, prices, and deals.
4. Using your commercial acumen to balance winning a deal against profit.
5. Ensuring new customers can log into the website and app, and monitoring their progress.
6. Learning about new products and services to promote them effectively.
7. Engaging with customers via phone, video, and face-to-face when appropriate.
8. Promoting products that customers have never purchased before.
9. Searching for opportunities while engaging customers and cross/upselling.
10. Fielding support requests from the inbound sales team for your clients.
11. Supporting colleagues and furthering Duffells’ reputation.
Commission
The commission structure reflects the areas of the role above:
1. A % of the total profit made above target on your accounts compared to the same month in the previous year.
2. Bonuses based on new account setups.
KPI’s
Success in the role will be based on your output, which requires necessary input, including an average minimum number of hours on the phone or calls made.
