This position will be based at our client's purpose-built surgery boasting great facilities with modern equipment such as ultrasonography, radiography, and inpatient monitoring equipment, on the outskirts of Bath. They have a small close-knit team who work at both branches to allow continuity for clients and their pets.
The practice is surrounded by beautiful open countryside but also a short distance from the cities of Bath and Bristol. Cheddar Gorge is close by so if you are looking for adventure and want to give rock climbing a go, that is the place to be.
There is a team of four vets and four nurses who work a combination of full and part-time hours. There is a vet who has a certificate in imaging and a nurse who has a nutrition certificate. There is an open-door policy, so if you need any help or advice or simply want a chat, there is always someone around to help or listen.
The right candidate would be encouraged to develop their skills, knowledge, and understanding. The full-time position has no on-call rota. Part-time applications will also be considered, and there is flexibility around days/hours. Starting at 8:30 am, you will have time to catch up on calls/emails and also a catch-up with colleagues to discuss any cases that you need to share with others or seek further advice on. You then either do a morning of consultations or surgical/medical work. Following a morning's work, you get time for lunch and to finish any outstanding work. The afternoon consists of consultations until 6:15 pm and finishing for the day at 6:30 pm. Saturday mornings start at 8:30 am and finish at 1 pm - Consulting only between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm on a 1:2 rota.
This role would suit a confident, self-motivated individual. You will be confident working on your own but also within a team environment, able to take direction from others but also happy to make decisions where needed. Salary is up to £65k pa DOE.
