Successful applicants will have the opportunity to experience acute care before committing to a programme of training through a Core or Specialty application. Post provides the opportunity to develop clinical and professional competence in a purposeful and supervised manner assisting personal development. Full GMC registration with a current licence to practice is essential for this role. The clinical development will be combined with supervised and directed activity linked to an area of mutual professional interest including clinical teaching and more formal teaching opportunities with the University of Aberdeen MBChB programme, quality improvement and safety management and leadership development. The post holder will be offered Honorary Lecturer status with the University of Aberdeen for the period of their appointment and have tailored access to mentorship to support their development as a clinical educator.
