What you will do:
1. Process subject access requests in compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
2. Locate, access, and extract pertinent information from digital systems.
3. Redact third-party and sensitive information to maintain full compliance with all legal requirements.
4. Liaise effectively with internal departments to gather necessary documentation.
5. Maintain comprehensive and precise records of requests, responses, and actions taken.
6. Provide expert guidance on information governance and data protection issues.
7. Ensure all information practices are in alignment with council policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Hold a degree (or equivalent) in Social Work.
2. Current registration with Social Work England.
3. Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
4. Prior experience in records management, data protection, or a similar field.
5. In-depth knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
6. Outstanding attention to detail and secure handling of sensitive data.
7. Capable of working independently and managing your workload efficiently.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
