What you will be doing;
1. Leading preparation/collation of the monthly Consolidated Group Accounts
2. Preparation of periodic reporting on areas such as Inventory, Sales/COGS, Working Capital, plus any others reasonably required by the business
3. Preparing and posting monthly journals prepayments, provisions & accruals etc
4. Preparing and posting cash book in Sterling, Euros and US Dollars and reconcile the bank accounts
5. Maintaining the Fixed Asset register ensuring additions and disposals are recorded on a timely basis, preparing the depreciation journal monthly
6. Reconciling balance sheets, credit cards and import VAT statements on a monthly basis
7. Maintaining and distributing the monthly expense dashboards
8. Supporting our Technical Services business unit with project focused accounting such as:Project ForecastsWIP/COGS CalculationsProject InvoicingPassthrough Costs
9. Supporting the Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly Management Information Pack
10. Supporting the CFO in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
11. Supporting the Finance Assistant with tasks as required
12. Supporting the annual external audit as required
We are looking for candidates who are;
13. Educated to A level or equivalent, ideally degree educated
14. Part qualified or actively studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Ideal candidates will;
15. Have the ability to provide accurate and timely information to a high standard, can communicate figures to non-finance staff and work to tight deadlines;
16. Be highly computer literate, with excellent Excel and wider Microsoft Office skills and high levels of attention to detail / accuracy
17. Follow processes accurately and have the ability to dissect processes for understanding
18. Have excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Previous Experience:
19. Experience within a Manufacturing environment is preferred
20. Previous experience of using a standard costing system is preferred
21. Previous experience of project accounting or consultancy business model is preferred
