Harrogate District NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting to two new trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner roles.
One will be for malignant haematology services
One will be non-malignant haematology services
The two new posts will work alongside the established Clinical Haematology team, comprising of five Consultant Haematologists with one Advanced Nurse Practitioner for Malignant Haematology and four Clinical Nurse specialists within a District General Hospital. The team have strong links with the tertiary centre in Leeds enabling the best treatment and care for our patients.
You will be a trainee ACP with a specific interest in Haematology and will commence at B6 with progression at 18 months to B7 and 3 years B8a
The post is fulltime and will work Monday to Friday
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the roles will be to provide expert advanced clinical practice, leadership and collaborative working, research delivery and education to staff and patients independently across inpatient and outpatient settings.
The post holders will be a clinical expert practising autonomously as an advanced practitioner within haematology to provide patient centred care. They will be required to deliver independent assessment, clinical examination, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment including independent prescribing.
The post holders will provide inpatient advice and support to medical teams and ward staff for patients with haematological conditions and develop strong professional relationships to ensure safe, good quality care for patients.
The post holders will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational and strategic development of the haematology service.
The post holders will provide a range of education and learning strategies to meet the needs of health care professionals providing care and treatment for patients with haematological malignancies across the organisation.

Qualifications and Skills
Essential criteria
* Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional who is eligible to become an Independent Prescriber
* Recognised teaching and assessing qualification
* Degree in relevant health care related subject
* Eligible to undertake a MSC in Advanced Clinical Practice
* Demonstrate relevant clinical and managerial experience
* Experience of audit and/or research
* Teaching and assessment experience in clinical practice
Desirable criteria
* Independent prescriber
* Attainment of relevant modules studied at master’s level Leadership modules
* ILS/ALS
* Post-registration qualification in autonomous / specialist/ advanced assessment practice
