Description ABOUT YOU As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with certifications, accreditations, and Approved Body status requirements through effective management of QHSE systems. Required skills and experience: Proven experience in Quality, Health & Safety management within a regulated environment, preferably in the food testing or laboratory sector. Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation. Experience with QHSE certifications and maintaining accreditation standards. Skilled in conducting audits and leading incident investigations. Familiarity with client-focused activities, such as participating in tender processes or managing customer complaints. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY The position supports the management team by offering expert advice and mentoring staff to address non-compliance and develop robust processes aligned with health and safety legislation. A hands-on, proactive approach is key to fostering a culture of excellence and achieving organizational QHSE goals. Key activities: Ensure compliance with all required Quality Assurance accreditations at local and national levels. Lead investigations into major customer complaints and significant non-conformances, providing actionable insights and solutions. Support the maintenance and improvement of quality systems and procedures to enhance overall service delivery. Assist in ensuring statutory HSE requirements are met across UK operations. Conduct investigations into significant accidents/incidents and maintain UK-wide statistics for monitoring trends and identifying improvement opportunities. Participate in site activities, such as QHSE review meetings, safety tours, and toolbox talks, to promote safety culture at all levels. Conduct internal top management audits and internal audits for Food UK Act as the primary contact for all Food UK QHSE matters Mentor and guide employees to rectify non-compliance issues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Promote a positive QHSE culture and encourage active participation from site representatives and employees. Provide QHSE expertise and support for new tenders and contract renewals.
