Profiwall Ltd, formed in 2014, provides plastering and drylining services to main contractors, delivering new build housing developments, care homes, educational buildings, offices, and industrial units. A position has become available for an apprentice in accounts, business administration, and marketing. This is a varied role and would suit somebody who is looking to start their career in these areas.
Profiwall is a growing company, and the candidate would need to be able to work and develop their role on their own initiative. Training and mentoring will be provided by the company.

Person Specification:
Ideally, the candidate will have completed a further education course in business, accounts, finance, or marketing.
Candidates must have a minimum of grade 6 / C in Maths & English GCSE.
The candidate should live within an easily commutable distance from the office.
Things to Consider:
The successful candidate will enroll in the Accounting Apprenticeship with Burnley College. This involves day-release at college.

Responsibilities:
* Weekly payment of subcontractors – CIS scheme and CIS returns for 20-40 subcontractors.
* Salaried staff monthly payroll – 6 nr.
* VAT returns.
* Cash flow management.
* Reconciling accounts.
* Managing bank and payments.
* Managing credit cards & loan repayment.
* Assisting managing director with strategic decisions.
* Managing company fleet vehicles – 7 nr.
* Producing management accounts.
* Managing company pension scheme.
Future Prospects:
* Set up price book and purchasing ordering system with accounting software (currently done by spreadsheets).
* Need to set up accounting system to manage construction invoices – retentions, cumulative payments, etc.
* Assist managing director with negotiating material prices with suppliers (current material spend £1 – £1.5 million pa).
Additional Duties:
* Assist with new subcontractor inductions.
* Assist contracts manager with health and safety administration.
Working Week:
Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30 (4pm finish on Fridays).
