We are looking for a Strategic Lead for Mental Health, to play a key role in supporting the Adults, Health and Commissioning Directorate. The role will lead the way in developing the strategic direction for the delivery of mental health services in Cambridgeshire by reviewing existing arrangements, designing and implementing service transformation and identifying areas for improvement. What will you be doing? Working across the Directorate and with our providers, you will make a real difference to our delivery of mental health services. This will include developing and leading the implementation of change initiatives aimed at improving mental health services commissioned and delivered by Cambridgeshire County Council. You will drive innovation, foster collaboration and ensure the delivery of person-centred care and good outcomes for individuals with mental health needs. About you You need to have a good knowledge of statutory responsibilities and best practice for the delivery of mental health services, as you’ll be leading the development and strategic direction of services to ensure people with mental health needs achieve the best possible outcomes. As a confident communicator, you will be working strategically and operationally with internal and external stakeholders including providers, District Councils, health partners, local communities, and those who use services and have lived experience. You will: Have expert knowledge and experience of mental health service delivery and experience of successful service transformation within complex structures Have a positive approach with an ability to manage by influence and drive forward improvement Have an in-depth knowledge about the policy context in health and social care and public services as well as associated statutory requirements Be experienced in the development of commissioning strategies and/or transformation delivered through effective and successful partnership working Be able to provide excellent leadership across organisational boundaries, working collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders Be an excellent communicator able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners including co-production of solutions with people with lived experience Have experience of delivering recommendations which not only improve outcomes but also consider financial and commercial sustainability For further detail about the requirements of the role, please see the attached Job Description/Person Specification.
