Salary: £18 - £20 per hour Location: Stevenage Job Type: Part-time We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support an SEN student, providing assistance and fostering a nurturing learning environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in special education and a proven track record in similar settings. Day-to-day of the role: Provide one-on-one support to an SEN student, ensuring they receive the tailored educational and emotional support they need. Assist in the implementation of EHCPs in collaboration with teachers and other educational professionals. Assist the student with classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and motivated. Help manage any behavioural or learning difficulties effectively, using appropriate strategies. Coordinate and communicate with the teacher to ensure comfortable and productive learning environment Required Skills & Qualifications Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting SEN students. Understanding of the specific needs associated with various disabilities and learning difficulties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
