Dyvine Group Ltd is a rapidly growing company, operating three well-established food businesses: Country Kitchen Foods (Norfolk), Norfolk Meals on Wheels, and Chef’s Fayre. One of our main business operations is being a food supplier and manufacturer for NHS England. As we expand significantly, we need a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to lead our operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food businesses, streamlining processes, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement. You will play a key role in scaling our operations to support our exciting growth trajectory while maintaining the highest standards of service and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the operations across all three food businesses, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
2. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall operational performance.
3. Oversee production, distribution, and logistics ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
4. Manage and motivate teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Collaborate with senior management to develop growth plans and execute expansion strategies.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies including HACCP and SALSA.
7. Management of MRP / ERP systems [materials requirement planning] and [enterprise resource planning].
8. Work alongside CEO to implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement measures for ongoing operational excellence.
9. Liaise with suppliers and partners to maintain strong relationships.
10. Problem-solve operational challenges and introduce innovative solutions for efficiency and scalability.
11. Implement and oversee cost control measures to maximise profitability without compromising quality.
12. Work with Senior Leadership to integrate and monitor a new bespoke stock management system.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience in an Operations Manager role, preferably in the food industry.
2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
3. Excellent organisational, problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a hands-on approach.
4. Experience in scaling operations within a growing business is highly desirable.
5. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and operational best practices – HACCP and SALSA.
6. You must have working knowledge of QMS [quality management system].
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
9. Proficiency in operational planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.
10. You must have strong attention to detail, organisational skills, staff management skills, interpersonal skills and adaptability skills.
11. You must have a minimum of two years experience in a food manufacturing environment.
