ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is to support a young male living with his parents in their family home, in Shipston-On-Stour. Current care is being provided by his parents, and he has home school education 3 times each week. Personal assistants are required to allow some family respite time. The client is registered blind and has profound learning disability, fully immobile and suffers with diabetes, Epilepsy and Pokilothermia which is a condition causing them to be unable to regulate their own body temperature. Client has intermittence oxygen therapy, requires nebulization, oral suction and enteral feeding.
The personal assistants will need to be patient and very understanding of his needs, willing to be very interactive as he enjoys lots of sensory activities, including messy play, loves kinetic sand, likes Music and bangs things and enjoys watching Cartoons.
Doesnt like: Loud noises that he isnt making, Raised voices or busy environments.
We are looking to recruit a team of Personal assistants who can support with his day-to-day living, Personal care, learning through sensory play, support with his emotional well-being but must have a calming approach.
