Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
* Checking business development documentation complies with funding body requirements and organisations learner and employer engagement processes
* Producing learner and employer documentation
* Liaising with employers and learners to support the completion of required documentation
* Liaising with the Head of Centre to ensure delivery and curriculum plans are available to learners and employers
* Inputting learner and employer data accurately into the Management Information System
* Updating learner and employer data accurately throughout the learner journey
* Checking data in the Management Information System, resolving any validation errors and correcting any incorrect financial profiles to ensure that correct funding can be claimed and requested
* Inputting data accurately onto the online e-portfolio system for learners and employers as required, throughout the learner journey, ensuring that the account is archived when the learner leaves
* Supporting the updating of electronic forms on the Management Information System and e-portfolio system
* Ensuring that learners are registered accurately and timely for their respective qualifications/end point assessment
* Ensuring that learners certification are recorded and processed accurately and timely
* Providing invigilation support as required
* Following up destination and progression of all learners
* Utilising the management information system to produce reports
* Sending and receiving electronic information
* Providing general administrative support to the team
* Providing cover for reception duties
* Operating information technology effectively, especially Outlook and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

Your training plan
Data Technician Apprenticeship Standard Level 3, including Functional Skills if required.
You will learn the knowledge, skills & behaviours which will support you for your end-point assessment.
You will take part in a combination of activities, such as face-to-face classroom-based sessions, remote learning sessions, work shadowing and online learning, to support your learning and development.
You will be required to undertake training sessions with Avant Skills Academy every other week, throughout the length of the apprenticeship.
At the end of the on-programme learning, you will be required to undertake an End-Point Assessment (EPA) to demonstrate you have met the occupational standard.
