We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Seafreight & European Operator to join our dynamic team in Tilbury. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful operation of our sea freight and European surface transport services. You will liaise with key stakeholders, including clients, carriers, and partners, and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods. Key Responsibilities: Shipment Management: Coordinate the entire sea freight forwarding process from origin to destination. Monitor shipments, ensuring accurate booking in internal systems. Track shipments and monitor delivery schedules. Customs Relations: Act as the first point of contact for customs-related matters. Complete customs clearance processes, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations. Documentation Management: Manage documentation flow, including bills of lading, packing lists, and other necessary documents. Vessel Information Management: Maintain up-to-date shipping information on vessel departures and arrivals. Coordinate with port authorities and shipping lines to track vessel movements. Delivery Coordination: Organise deliveries from port of arrival to destination. Liaise with hauliers to fulfil customer delivery requirements. Client Communication: Deliver excellent customer service and manage client expectations. Proactively communicate with clients and overseas partners. Financial & Commercial Management: Ensure good negotiation and contractual conduct and commercial awareness. Ensure estimates are allocated for all expected costs and that invoices are raised in a timely manner. System Usage: Understand and utilise One World as the main operating system. Ensure all shipments, addresses, and other data are entered accurately in One World and Multi Freight.
