Role overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to optimise our operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations management within a professional services or consulting firm, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive operational efficiencies through data. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to ensure the seamless alignment of processes, support growth, and manage change effectively. The role also requires significant travel, visiting FRP locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and influence operations across a distributed office structure
* Align processes across multiple locations, ensuring compliance and risk management
* Support system change projects that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
* Collaborate and liaise with both Location Management and Central Services Group colleagues
* Utilise strong analytical skills to drive operational efficiencies
* Develop and maintain a tech roadmap, outlining infrastructure changes to support growth and digitisation
* Leverage data to inform strategic decisions and operational improvements
* Implement operational frameworks to support both organic and acquisitive growth
* Planning for the future, ensure scalability of operations to meet the demands of a growing organisation
* Visit locations, manage communications to assist change and align teams towards common goals
* Assess and realign teams as necessary to support organisational growth
* Foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement
* Develop and execute a strategic vision with a focus on operational excellence
* Be comfortable with uncertainty and confident in decision-making
* Provide hands-on support to teams, demonstrating a willingness to roll up sleeves and assist where needed
* Outline a multi-year to motivate and align the organisation towards achieving operational excellence
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in operations management within a professional services firm
* Knowledge of professional service firms’ needs, including time cost, work-winning, client take-on, work delivery, and billing
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and aligning teams across multiple locations
* Excellent analytical skills and experience in using data to drive operational efficiencies
* Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure and the ability to develop a tech roadmap
* Experience in implementing operational frameworks to support growth
* Expertise in change management and the ability to handle resistance to change
* Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
* Willingness to travel extensively to visit FRP offices
* Strong communicator with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
* Adaptable and resilient, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement
